ATTENTION RACE FANS!!  THE SPORT OF KINGS is returning to Waterway Village and you have the opportunity to be in the middle of the excitement!!

 Imagine your beautiful 3year-old race horse in the winner’s circle with you standing by receiving the coveted OFFICIAL Waterway Downs genuine 14 Karat-Gold covered PLASTIC Loving Cup!

 Come to the HORSE AUCTION COCKTAIL PARTY on Saturday, April 20^th and bid on one of 6 beautiful/handsome specimens of horse flesh this side of the Number 10 Canal!!

Then, name your horse; pick your stable name; “hire” your jockey; pick the color of your ‘silks’ (the representative color of your stable) and you are automatically entered into the second running of the Waterway Downs!!  Tickets for the Cocktail Party are $3.00 per person.  You don’t have to be a bidder to come to the Cocktail Party…it’s a fun time.  BYOB and a snack to pass!

 The Waterway Downs is a 15-Block indoor track which is run during the Kentucky Derby Party to be held this year on Saturday, May 4^th  at 4:00 PM!    We will take friendly wagers on the Kentucky Derby up until its Post Time of about 6:30 PM.  During this time, we will run several of our own races with the six auctioned horses and wagering will take place on each race as we did at the WATERWAY ISLES 15 Car Races!  And of course, the OWNERS’ RACE will be the final race of the day where the winning owner will take home the total money collected from the horse auction.  So get in on the bidding and bid it up high…you could have the winner!!  And what’s a Social Committee Party without good food?  Blue Ribbon Catering is preparing a traditional Kentucky Derby Dinner of Kentucky Hot Browns; Salad and Kentucky Derby Pie that will make you feel like you’re sitting on the porch of  your Old Kentucky Home!!  All you’ll need is a Mint Julep!!  Cost is 15.00 per person.  We’ll provide Iced Tea, Lemonade, Water and Coffee.  BYOB for all other Beverages. 

 Al’s computer will be out of commission for a few weeks, so this is the ONLY e-mail notice you’ll get about these two parties!!  Please print them and mark your calendar for ticket sales dates and times because we wouldn’t want you to miss either of these fun times.

Keith has asked me to send out the attached Notice regarding an audit being performed by WASTE MANAGEMENT.

RE:  Cancelation of Turnover Meeting and Resident Election:

We regret to inform you that the Isles at Waterway Village HOA Turnover / Membership Election Meeting scheduled for April 30, 2013, has been canceled.  It was agreed at the April 4^th Transition Committee Meeting to give the developer additional time to make this a smooth transition. No meeting date has been selected at this time. Please disregard all prior meeting packages that have been sent to you. We will notify all owners in advance and a new meeting package will be mailed to all members, which will include the candidate’s Intent to Serve, Resume and a Ballot/ Proxy to accommodate those who will be out of town, and cannot attend the meeting.
