We regret to inform you that the Isles at Waterway Village HOA Turnover / Membership Election Meeting scheduled for April 1, 2013, has been canceled.  A new meeting date will be selected and a new meeting package will mailed to all members with an agenda, intent to serve and proxy for those that can not attend the meeting.

Yoga Class

ALL YOGA ENTHUSIASTS

We had a wonderful turnout and a relaxing and delightful time at our first Waterway Village yoga class on Monday.  Thank you to all who have responded and are participating in this activity.

We had a very full clubhouse on Monday and, therefore, have decided to do a second class to make the class sizes a bit smaller.  Our second class will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays.  You may choose to attend either class.  Both classes will incorporate easy and moderate exercises, using both the mats on the floor as well as chairs.

Yoga Class Update

ATTENTION

ALL YOGA ENTHUSIASTS

What a fantastic turnout we had for our yoga class meeting Monday morning.  We have around 40 people signed up for the class.

The first class will be held on Monday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m. in our clubhouse.  Please commit at least 1 hour and 15 minutes for the class.  Please wear comfortable, breathable, non-restrictive clothes and be prepared to do the class barefoot.  If you would like to purchase a yoga mat, please be sure to get one that will not slip on the carpeting in the clubhouse.  The exercises will be easy, emphasizing stretching and breathing.  We will use the chairs in the clubhouse as well.  These classes will be for persons with all abilities.  Go at your own pace.  The cost of each class is an affordable $5.

The nature of yoga is one of peace and tranquility.  Therefore, we would ask that you do not bring any electronic devices to the class.  We would also request that any residents needing to use the clubhouse please schedule their time before or after the yoga class.

I know that some of you were not able to attend the meeting, so I have contact sheets and release forms here at my house if you wish to fill them out and bring them to our first class.

Waterway Village Activities: St. Patrick's Day; Social Committee Meeting; Book Club; Coffee and Conversation; and YOGA CLASSES

Baby, it’s cold outside!! But things are heating up here at the Isles!!   If you are sitting around doing nothing, good for you!! But there are quite a few things going on if you want to keep busy…and warm!!

DON’T FORGET:  TUESDAY, MARCH 5^th is the LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS FOR THE ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER BUFFET CATERED BY RED ROOSTER BUFFET.  Judy Darago will be in the Clubhouse from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.  After that, we will call those people who are on the Waitlist and Ticket Sales will be CLOSED!!   SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!  So make sure you get to the Clubhouse before 3:00 Tuesday!!  It’ll warm your Irish Heart to eat as fine a meal as this!!

The Social Committee will meet on Wednesday, March 6^th at 7:00 PM for its regular monthly meeting. The Spring Thaw promises more fun activities!  Come be a part of the process!  All are invited to attend.

The Book Club will meet on Friday, March 15^th at 10:00 am.  The March reading selection is The Art of Hearing Heartbeats, by Jan-Phillipp Sendker.  There’s still time to get in a good read under a nice warm throw; with a hot beverage!!

Coffee and Conversation returns on Thursday, March 21^st.  Please sign up in the “post office” (mailroom) so we have an idea of how many will attend.  Also, PLEASE WRITE ONE NAME PER LINE.  We use this list for name tags and sometimes can’t read the names when they are crowded on one line or there is only a first name!  Also, please let us know where you used to live so we can include that on name tags. It’s a great conversation starter…and that’s the whole point of these get-togethers!!  That… and a hot cup of coffee!

Yoga Classes

We have been in contact with a yoga instructor who

is willing to hold a class here in our clubhouse. At

this point, we are just determining interest in this

activity. A sign-up sheet was posted in our

mailroom, but someone removed it before we could

get all the names off it.

We are considering holding the class on 

Mondays at 11 a.m.

WATERWAY VILLAGE ST. PATRICK'S DAY CATERED DINNER TICKET SALES; BOOK CLUB MEETING; SOCIAL COMMITTEE MEETING

Our March 16th St. Patrick’s Day Party is a Buffet Dinner fully catered by Red Rooster Café in Micco!  Steve and Joti Hahn will be delighting us here in our Clubhouse with delicious food and great service!  The menu includes:  Corned Beef and Cabbage; Roasted Pork Loin; Redskin Potatoes; Carrots; Rye Dinner Rolls with Butter; Gourmet Desserts; Iced Tea; Water; and Coffee.  BYOB as usual!  All served on real plates with cloth napkins!!

Tickets go on sale TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27^th and will only be sold until TUESDAY, MARCH 5^th.       THERE IS A LIMIT OF THE FIRST 72 RESIDENTS   WHO SIGN UP AND PAY FOR THEIR TICKETS.  PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO INCLUDE FRIENDS OR RELATIVES WHO DO NOT LIVE HERE IN WATERWAY VILLAGE WHEN YOU ARE SIGNING UP.  WE WILL GLADLY PUT THEIR NAMES ON THE GUEST WAITLIST AND IF WE DO NOT MEET THE LIMIT WILL HAVE THEM JOIN US.  ONCE WE REACH 72 GUESTS, WE WILL ADD YOUR NAME TO THE WAITLIST EVEN IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT.  NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD NOR NAMES PUT ON THE WAITLIST AFTER 3:00 PM ON TUESDAY, MARCH 5^TH.  SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. 

The exact amount for your ticket purchase is greatly appreciated.  We can no longer accept $50.00 or $100.00 Bills since there have been too many counterfeit ones found in Indian River County and Vero Beach.  We do not keep track of who gave us these bills and have no way of checking their authenticity until we get them to the bank.  It’s just a fiduciary precaution. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Attached is the notice for the March 15^th Book Club meeting and this month’s reading selection.  All Waterway Village Residents are welcome.

The regular monthly meeting of the Social Committee is next Wednesday, March 6, at 7:00 PM.  We hope to see you there.  We need volunteers to help with upcoming events or the Social Calendar may become blank.  All are invited to attend.

Water Aerobics Class

ATTENTION

ALL RESIDENTS

Just a reminder to all residents that our water aerobics classes continue in our clubhouse pool every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. and Friday at 10:45 a.m.  It is a one hour class.

If you are interested in a fun, invigorating and low impact exercise class, please feel free to join us.  All are welcome.  The cost per class is $5.
